Quartz 1/2 wave retardation plate – 633nm : POD060930

Retardation plates have different propagation velocities of the light wave, depending on the positioning.
They are specially cut in ordedr to have the waves on the slow axis delayed, of either one half wavelength or one quarter wavelength.

633 nm plates (polarized He-Ne laser, Ref. POD 013 220) are made of monocrystalline quartz, Ø 15 mm, which ensures near-perfect behaviour (98 % efficiency).
