SELV 150/300 W chopper / 1-/3-phase inverter – Training module (ref: EPS230000)
Study of:
Series and reversible choppers:
▪ Series.
▪ Voltage reversible.
▪ Current reversible.
▪ 4 quadrants.
▪ Double nested series (+E/0/–E).
1-phase inverters:
▪ Full-wave shifted control.
▪ Variable frequency: PWM +E/-E, +E/0/-E.
▪ Constant U/F.
3-phase inverters:
▪ Full-wave shifted control.
▪ Variable frequency: PWM +E/-E, +E/0/-E.
▪ Constant U/F.
Important:
The EPS230 is conceived to operate in SELV configuration (Safety Extra-Low Voltage), whose main asset is to be usable without any resort to expensive electrotechnical installations.
→ Specially adapted for practical works as well as during a lecture to spot a particular phenomenon via a PC + video-projector.
Optional:
▪ D_CCA: speed servo-control (depending on the operative part).
▪ D_Scil: simulation, rapid prototyping, creation of new correctors.
Specifications:
The EPS230000 is compatible with many motors. It is conceived to enable a better understanding of the basics in electrotechnics for the students, from the operating of a series converter to the creation of new control correctors as well as speed/position servo-control (DC or 3-phase AC).
▪ Voltage range: 20 VDC ¨ 48 VDC.
▪ Maximum peak current in each static switch: 10 A.
▪ Frequency: 1 Hz ¨ 20 kHz.
▪ Configurable acceleration ramp.
▪ Duty cycle: 0% ¨ 100%.
▪ Adjustable dead time.
A driving and acquisition software facilitates the utilisation and understanding of the fundamental principles of the static converters.
Important:
▪ For the laboratories that don’t have any PC on the lab tables, an option (ref: EPS231000) enables to chose and configure the assembly to study.
▪ The EPS230 is also specially adapted for practical works as well as during a lecture to spot a particular phenomenon (via a PC + video-projector).
▪ A direct control by external electronics (+/-10 VDC) is possible for the students to implement power bridges (static control for a chopper, modulated control for an inverter). Important to specify: with this type of control, the safety devices remain active.
Optional:
▪ D_CCA: software to study speed servo-control (depending on the operative part).
▪ D_Scil: rapid prototyping, creation of new correctors.
